KUALA LUMPUR, July 2 (China News Agency) -- Angkasa-X, a Malaysian company, and Cangyu Space Information Communication Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd. ("Cangyu Space") signed an agreement in Cyberjaya, Selangor, Malaysia on July 2, to carry out collaborations in space technology and applications. Cangyu Space will also assist in creating a space talent training platform.

Cangyu Space and Angkasa-X will work together to build a shared constellation for the ASEAN region, providing real-time satellite remote sensing data services with a time resolution of up to the minute level for the region to meet the needs of environmental monitoring, agricultural production, emergency relief, etc. They will also collaborate to create a satellite remote sensing data trading platform and a space talent training platform for the region.
Dr. Sean SEAH Kok Wah, Founder and Executive Chairman of Angkasa-X, underscored that the collaboration is in perfect alignment with Malaysia’s National Space Policy 2030 and in good position to effectively leverage space technology to promote the progress of Malaysia.
Mr. Liu Wei, Chairman and President of Cangyu Space, pointed out that the collaboration not only involves cutting-edge technology, but also includes a talent training platform to cultivate high-quality space professionals, contributing to the sustainable development of Malaysia's space industry.
Dr. Zhao Xiangdong, Science and Technology Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia and Mr Raymond Siva, Head of Digital Investment Office of Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), attended the signing ceremony.
